Excellent Reading for Scenegraph Architects

Check out this article: I haven't seen many comprehensive articles or tutorials dealing with Scenegraphs, probably because there are so many ways of doing it. Maybe this would spark some helpful dialogue? Anyone got more links? I'm currently attempting to implement the proposed model of having an "Object Soup" of scene components and several trees built of minimalist nodes that contain only pointers to the objects sorted according to Spatial Configuration, then Rendering State, then Semantic/Logical organization, each object containing back-pointers to its corresponding nodes in each tree so all known relations can be determined with only one traversal and a few lookups.
