Hello everyone, We have chosen a composer for the game (Congratulations Ryan!),so the job is no longer available. We want to thank all the composers who sent their demos. We'll e-mail you as soon as we have another project. Cheers, Alex Francou [Edited by - afrancou on September 28, 2005 9:08:32 PM]

I should be able to help you out... How many loops are you looking for?

Heres a loop I made in one night. Its obviously a throwback to the nes days but I can also do orchestral, electronic, jazz, classical. Tell me what you want and I'll do it. :)

Here is a theme for your game, possibly an introduction.

I started this tonight.

Its got the 'Indian vibe' going on, instrumentally and scale-wise. I like how this one is going instrumentally as well. This is my first try writing a piece with Indian tones. I still have some mixing work to do but this is the gist of it.

I'm not sure what his price may be but i know a really good composer, you can check out most of his stuff at seanbeeson.com

...

A couple of points for everyone to check out ...

1) Does your company belong to any royalty collection agency ? These agencies have fixed rates for musicians who write for games, based on game sales.

This would encourage these writers to produce tunes for the next project, if there is one - otherwise they'll just think you're a cheapskate who uses peoples talent.

2) Do you \or your company have contracts for these writers ?

Three of us threw a 3 minute track together (with various edits) in 45 minutes for a friend with a good contact in media \ advertising.

We didn't think the track would become anything, but we signed a contract just in case.

The contact passed the tune to CBBC (a UK tv channel) & it was used as a theme tune for a cyber-show on tv for 18 weeks.

If I hadn't signed the contract, I wouldn't have received any royalties (about £1000).
I know most people here need money - especially musicians ! ! ! - and I don't want to put anyone off working with anyone else (that's how great ideas turn into great games) - I'm just sharing a previous experience...

Interested as well. I have the option of working together with a talented female vocalist, in case you want vocal support as well (no extra fee, of course).

My sample tracks:
0 A.D. Main Theme - powerful, thematic music.

Roman Defeat - Quiet / sad

Germanic Peace 3 - Tranquil / harmonic
