I have my computer partitioned into 3 partitions, an NTFS, a FAT32, and some Linux partition. I installed Windows XP on NTFS, and I try to run a Windows 98 SE installation, but it doesn't give me the option of a drive to install on, and can only be installed on C. Is this a bug in the installation software, or do I need to re-order my partitions?

Are you familiar with the program FDISK. If not, you can get hold of this and look at the partition and drive information on the command prompt before you start te installation. I mean the command prompt on the computer startup, not the one in windows.

Can you write here what FDISK tells you.

I think I found out why this happened. Windows XP setup reordered my partitions, making C second to H, so I have to fix them in order to get everything installed in the proper place.
