I was having some problems with VC++, where functions in a source file which I had written were causing linker errors (unresolved external). The functions were member functions in the class CMatrix, and they were declared as inline in the source file. So, where should I be declaring functions as inline? In the class declaration or the source file? Or both?

Inline functions (and template functions) must be defined in the header file. Otherwise, how would the compiler get the function's body?
