Hi How can I pass a string from a C++ DLL to Visual Basic? I can pass every other data type, but when I try to pass a string my VB app crashes. I know that strings are handled differently in C++ and VB, but I don't know how to make it work.

Im using VB6.

DLL code for returning string:

char* _stdcall getString(int number) {
return stringArray[number].getString();
}

CStringArray class:

---
char* CStringArray::getString()
{
