Hi, i wondered if there is a way to draw an image on a Graphics object with an alpha channel, so you can still see whats beneath the image?

To elaborate on what Blew said: There isn't any special treatment of images with alpha transparency when using Graphics. Just call Graphics.drawImage() on any loaded image that has an alpha channel, and it will be handled correctly.
