I am using the ogre3d engine and I am thinking of developing a octree or a bsp using ogre. However, I am not sure how to go about developing this structure for rendering as well as collision test. How do I get the vertex, texture ...etc indices of the mesh that I loaded? ps: is it true that the ogre default scene manager is an octree itself?

Might I ask why?

BSP Scene Manager
Octree Scene Manager

I'd personally suggest using the Addon Dot Scene Manager because it makes doing collisions a lot easier (adding on OgreODE) and it uses an Octree system.

Ok anyways, I've used Ogre3D before a while back and did this stuff, but you really should ask your question at the Ogre forums. You won't find any better pool of expertise elsewhere on the net [wink]. You'll find more information on your question on that Wiki Page too. Have fun!
