circle projection.

Projecitng a circle on a given plane. I am interested in finding a relation between the elipse equation and circle equation. Thanks. [Edited by - Marius on September 11, 2005 5:01:49 PM]

Dont think this is the perfect solution, but it works...

for each connecting line point, project a ray from the camera (where the corresponding 2D circle point would be etc) to the plane, find the intersection point and draw a vertex there...

should be quite slow thou, but if you use a textured quad or something with a circle, you could get away with just four rays...

Rasmadrak solution works, surely, but, may be, Marius needs an exact solution?
By the way, are you sure, you need circle projection, not sphere projection?
Explain your task more serious, I mean, what is the projection direction, how is your circle (or sphere, maybe?) is given, and so on.
