Hello, I am experiencing a gradual drop in fps. Leaving my app running, after a short time, it becomes clear the FPS is dropping off. Might this be some sort of resource issue? I have not come across this before, wondered if others had. Thanks in advance Simon

Those symptoms usually point towards a resource or memory leak.

Try to acertain that resources are not being generated in your game loop, or that those that are being generated are being cleanly terminated.

I have a terrain split into sectors which are stored in a std::vector container.

By putting debug messages on the destructors for these objects, I can see that the destructor is constantly called during each loop.

However, the constructor is not called in error like this. How can this be?

Is this a feature of vector containerS? does the push_back function cause all the objects to be deleted then moved?

Thanks

Simon
