Need help with a error.

EDIT: never mind. Did a stupid mistake of forgetting a few includes. >.< Im just wondering what is the usual cause for this error, so I can find the cause? error C2593: 'operator <<' is ambiguous

Multiple functions can have the same name as long as they have different arguments. Each time you call a function with that name the compiler figures out which is the best match. However sometimes two matches are equally good. Thus the function call is ambigous

void f(int i, char c);
void f(char c, int i);

char c1,c2;
f(c1,c2); //ambiguous because both of the f functions are equally decent matches
