OpenGL Help with rendering to bitmap

I am rendering a 3d scene, while rendering i want to be able to pause the rendering and render to bitmap and then continue rendering. What i have is: -The main render loop. -Created the DIB for bitmap rendering. -Changed the pixel format to PFD_DRAW_TO_BITMAP Or PFD_SUPPORT_OPENGL Or PFD_SUPPORT_GDI -And rendered to the bitmap But when i try to change back to the old rendering context the whole app closes. This occures when wglMakeCurrent and only if i swaped to the bitmap buffer. Could someone help me? Just post if you need more details.
