I started on my first game, a Win32 console Project, a PacMan clone using characters for graphics, console cells (stored in COORDs) for coordinates and textfiles for levels. I managed to output the textfile (level) correctly but I would really like to know a piece of (premade, working) code that: 1) most importantly- reads every character till EOF then stores the coordinates (col, row) of each type of entity (#=wall, *=ammo etc.) into their own array, skipping SPACE's. I need that for collision detection. 2) other extras would be good albeit unnecesary. If there's a source on the net for this particular problem please direct me to it.
