I need to exactly control textures. In other words, if I placed textures to video memory I want be sure that DirectX will NOT decide itself that it may unload some rarely used textures to system memory. Is it possible case when even if enough free video memory, DirectX however decides to unload some MANAGED textures? So is there a reason to use DEFAULT_POOL textures instead of MANAGED to be sure that my textures always located in video memory and immediately ready for use?

If you are running out of VRAM the drivers will move some textures from VRAM to system memory. Managed textures won't be moved if there is enough memory.
