Finished two tracks for 0 A.D. tonight. Both play when the player engages troops in battle. One is for the game's Carthaginian civilisation, the other for the Persians. Carthaginian Battle 2 Persian Battle 1 Comments?

Sounds great to me [smile] Definitly something that belongs in a game such as 0AD. it has that 'feel' of a historic RTS. Out of those two though, I like the "Persian Battle 1" the best. Keep up the good work! I'm not a sound person, so I don't have any suggestions on the composition of it, but as a gamer, it's definitly something that I'd like to hear in a game.
They seem very nice, at least to me. They've got a film score-like quality that I think will suit the style of game of O A.D. I'm not much of a composer yet though, so I can't make any specific recommendations. Although I take it though that these pieces of music are to be played once only though, or in sequence with other pieces of music, due to their style.

By the way, since I'm learning how to compose game music (and becaue I'm curious about these kinds of things), what tools are you using to write your music?
