glTexImage2D Invalid Enum with FBO

I get GL_INVALID_ENUM error from glTexImage2D when trying to set up an FBO.
glGenFramebuffersEXT(1, &FrameBufferObject);
    glGenTextures(1, &FrameTexture);
    glGenRenderbuffersEXT(1, &DepthRT);

    glBindFramebufferEXT(GL_FRAMEBUFFER_EXT, FrameBufferObject);    

    // init texture
    glBindTexture(GL_TEXTURE_2D, FrameTexture);
    glTexImage2D(GL_TEXTURE_2D, 0, FrameTextureInternalFormat, Width, Height, 0, 
                 GL_RGBA8, GL_RGBA8, NULL); //ERROR, InternalFormat is GL_RGBA8


amazingly enough, the FBO seems to work sort of OK, but some rendering is messed up. any ideas?

GL_RGBA8 is not a valid format or type. You probably wanted:
glTexImage2D(GL_TEXTURE_2D, 0, FrameTextureInternalFormat, Width, Height, 0, GL_RGBA, GL_UNSIGNED_BYTE, NULL);
