I've recently been working primarily with MSVC 6.0 because an SDK for software I'm wrting a plugin for requires it. I've noticed that when I right click on a classname and say "Go to definition" it seems to work much better in 6.0 than 7.1. Today a co-worker of mine was having some issues with wxListBox and I told him to go to the definition of the class( which is no problem for me in 6.0) but he was unable to do so in 7.1. I went over to his workstation and messed around with his project settings to include building browse information, rebuilt, and still he could not go to the classes definition. So basically, is there any other steps that need to be taken in order to have browse information work properly in MSVC 7.1? Has anyone else noticed/overcome this issue?

I've had the same problem before and many others have too. It is a bug in VS and the only way of repairing it is to go to directory where your project file is and delete the .ncb file as well as any non-project files. In my experence, it generally works, but not always immediatly. Clean and rebuild the project a time or two and try then.

I find that 7.1 is a little slow when it comes to "Go To Definition". I've not tried 6.

Of course, 7.1 again, IntelliSense does not work with wxWidgets at all (except for a handful of classes). I was under the impression this was the case for 6 as well. I believe there are various hacks and trickery you can use to get it working - you'll have to google for them.
