stats....normal distribution...z score...wtf

Here I am studying for a stats test tomorow, and I'm stomped by an example I wrote down during lecture, can anybody enlighten me? Here's an mspaint of the problem:

The z score table being used provides the proportion of the population that is less than a given z score. Your z score table is apparently providing the proportion between z=0 and your z score.
