I own a license for the TGE as well as T2d. I have only modified T2D however. T2d is a very clean engine, the TorqueScript is fairly well designed and easy to use. If TGE is anything like T2D (and it is from what I hear) it's a very nice product. For $100 you really can't go wrong.
im currently learning about TGE from the book 3D game programming all in one, and its very easy to use and is chuck full of features, its a purchase you wont regret.
I am doing the same as The Devil. It looks like it has a bunch of capabilities. I haven't done all that much with it yet, but for the price you really can't go wrong.
do any of you know if a dell deminsion 3000 is compatible with or good enough for TGE?
