I've resorted to using code from the red book. But Dev C++ says "permission denied" on aux.h . Is this a clever trick to stop people stealing code, or am I missing something obvious? UPDATE: I read the "How to obtain the source code" but it left me even more confused. It seems to say something like Dev C++ should already have the files. This may be a long shot, but are you sure you aren't looking for glaux.h? If you are, in DevC++ or anywhere else, just include <GL/glaux.h>

Thanks, it's one of those things that seem obvious in retrospect :-D
Now I have to work through the code to create a window in windows, but I won't be starting that tonight!!
