What's a good tutorial for introductory game programming (PONG)?
Hi,
I have decent programming experience in Java (First term was OOP, and second term was stuff like Queues, Stacks, and BinaryTrees). Through my University, however we haven't done anything related to game programming, and it's something I'd really like to try out. I imagine that I would be able to pick up C/C++/C# fairly quickly, and I was wondering if you guys knew any good decent tutorials to help me get started, as I'm not too sure where to begin.
Thanks a lot
Sorry.. I'm sure you get these kind of posts every day, please bear with me.
Well, you could give this tutorial a go: Tetris in an hour. It's pretty self-contained, and it only uses C/C++ and the Win32 API. If you can find your way around that (use MSDN for more information on the Win32 functions it uses), you should be well on your way to learning some C/C++, Win32 and general game programming.
