glReadPixels in DirectX

there's a function like glReadPixels in DirectX??? I need to read and store in a bitmap some pixels from backbuffer

You need to "Lock" the backbuffer to get a pointer to the data, then treat that as reading from any normal array. You may have to set up your back buffer in a certain way to be able to lock it though.
