4 viewports in c#

hey, does anyone know how to make 4 viewports behave correctly im making a mapping proggy and to be honest i didnt know where to start seeing as i just started out in c# and game programming. i have the 4 viewports in using split containers but when i resize the verticle of the view ports they resize independantly anyone know how to get them to resize together (like in 3D studio max) plus if anyone knows of any examples that will be helpful in the future that would be great
