Hello. I am new to the VS 2005 IDE. I bought the professional edition, and chose Visual C++ on the small window after the installation. It now always runs the Visual C++ IDE (visuall C++ news, articles, etc on the start page) and I want to switch to Visual Basic. Is there any way to do this? The small box that appeared at the beginning (with langauge options) now only flashes quick then dissapears and visual C++ loads, so I have no way to change the language. Any help is appreciated! Kyle

I'm pretty sure that window said that you can change the language from the Options menu. And even though you are getting C++ news and stuff, you can still make VB projects.

Thank you, however in tools>options there is no way to change the startup language.

And I am aware that I can make VB projects, it is just that the IDE is customized for VC++.
