Good evening- My game loop is regulated by a while statement, GAME LOOP() { while(gameloop) { input() render() etc. } } The majority of my game takes place in this loop except during cut scenes and loading functions. While my game is in this mode, the cursor is always the standard wait cursor (hourglass) which is really annoying. The thing is, the mouse clicks still function normally. So, the wait cursor doesn't affect functionality but is hideous to look at constantly. Is there any way to prevent the wait cursor from being shown during my loop, or to change the default wait cursor to a custom one that looks like a regular cursor (I override the standard arrow cursor with my own cursor already)?? Thanks Oh Yeah, using c++ in visual studio with a little MFC [Edited by - shadowcomplex on November 20, 2005 12:43:31 AM]

I was having the same issue till i realized, my app/game was not dispatching/processing any messages from windows

example of doing this:
while (!done)
{
if(PeekMessage(&msg,NULL,NULL,NULL,PM_REMOVE))
{
TranslateMessage(&msg);
DispatchMessage(&msg);
}
else
{
Update(); // update
Render(); //Render
}
}
