a good scale between size and accuracy

i know that this can vary from project to project but in general what would a good scale be.. i am thinking 1.0f = 1 foot

When making the choice between feet and meters, remember that the US is about the only place that still uses imperial measurements, and metric is much simpler for physics.

The scale depends simply on how large you want your world to be. You can even break down the scale into multiple scales, applying more detailed zones a smaller scale. For programs with no concerns of too much data, 1.0f = 1.0 ft or 1.0m is just fine. Most other scales would be too. Direct correlation is better because it's simpler.
