hi, i modelled a little insect, set it up with bones and now, i want those legs and head move in a natural way. i am sure that there are some formulas out there for doing this. currently i am using some simple(or stupid) trigonometrics just to have the insect move, but i'd love to get this insect walk in a nearly natural way. if you have such formulas, or know a place to find som, would be great if you share your information. i tried to google for it, but came along a whole bunch of nonsense or philosophical issues... if you want to take a glimpse of what model i am talking, here is a small demo http://www.earthcontrol.de/temp/bones_krabbler.zip

look up "gait cycles" for the different animals/insect. bugs are rather simple I have some notes from an old class of mine that would be perfect.

check them out.
