Convert 3dmax mesh file to X

Hi guys, How I can convert a 3dmax mesh file to X mesh file? tnx

Import into your editor of choice (for instance, Milkshape), export to .X
is this for 3ds max app or 3ds file format?

It's the best plugin I've seen to date for exporting models from 3ds into X.
I haven't 3d studio max, I have just downloaded some mesh example (*.max)

I did try with it but I can't import *.max example that I have downloaded.

You need 3d studio max for the .max extention as far as I know. I don't think I've ever seen an editor support anything other than .3ds :\

Sorry, I was thinking of .3ds also. You could try getting the free trial version of 3ds max and see if that allows you to export the file to something else.
