Is there a free 3d painting software or utility that I can download from the net? Even a plugin or script for 3d max will be good. I have 3d max but I can't 3d paint. Thanx 4 your help.

I don't do a lot of 3d modelling, so I'm not *totally* sure what you mean, but I know that Blender is free and has a vertex paint mode. Try it.

There is an open source sample made in .NET there which looks similar to PaintShop pro/Photoshop elements.
