Hi, I am an experienced programmer (well, have been doing it for a while anyway), with experience of c++ and some directX. However, I have just started taking an interest in web based multi player games. I really don't have much of an idea on where to start with regards to how to go about writting such a game so any advice or pointers to books etc to get me started would be muh appreciated. depends what your doing it in, php,asp,jsp, etc i'm assuming your using a mysql backend. Really its just alot of database calls but every page is the same for every user so their session variables that you store off are all your game objects....
