hi,everyone! i tried to put several x files and bitmaps(359kb) into my programe's resource section,when compiled and linked it was 375kb. after i use upx --best to compress it,it was 234kb i am wondering how these 64k intro was made?i heard that 1.9G could be compressed less than 64k,is that true?if it is,what they use to compress data? thanks!

Such "compression" is the result of algorithmic parameterization.

is there any free tool or lib that can do such "compression"?

Look at the product for info on how some (very impressive) 64k demos were made. They've even released the tool they used to make them, but no source so far.
