A new - but twisted - game design innovation

Someone sent me this link: it's a new (but twisted) innovation in fighting gameplay. Now I'm not as twisted as these game developers are, can anyone think of a way to implement a similar gameplay mechanic in a less twisted manner? ----- A doujin soft group calling themselves “Game Programming Study Club” has created a new fighting game ... ”Line-Kill Spirits”) is a 3D fighting game that features little girls beating up on each other; nothing new there. The kicker, however, is that any damage you do to your opponent will slowly regenerate unless… wait for it… you take a picture of her panties. Yes. A fighting game where panty-shots are the core mechanic. You don’t believe me, do you? Then watch the VIDEO (http://gpsc.hp.infoseek.co.jp/gspirits_r1_web.wmv). That’s it. Heh, this sounds like the opposite of the anime Arcade Gamer Fubuki. In this anime, the main character gets enormous power when her panties are shown. :P
That was bizarre. I guess some kind of "locking" or "tying off" of effects could be interesting. In the Wheel of Time books, spells consisted of woven strands of energy, and they could be made semi-permanent and self-sufficient by configuring them such that there weren't any "loose ends" that could unravel or distort the effect.

It would be like salting the earth in a 4X game, making a location uninhabitable after you destroy it, or perhaps irradiating mineral depasits in StarCraft, so that position would no longer be a viable resource node.

The notion has a lot of potential, and I'm amazed that the game above actually exists. From the video, the gameplay looks a little weak and shallow, so I'm guessing it's sold as softcore porn.

This is actually far from being porn. Pantsu shots are quite common in anime (which are just there for fan service).

I know of a game that featured pantsu shots (but just for fan service, it wasn't a game element): Lineage II. If your female character wore a short enough skirt in this game and you cast some spell, your skirt would lift up and your character's pantsu would become visible for a short moment.
Doesn't surprise me with Japan...
crazy ...

Check out my new game Smash and Dash at:

It looks frustrating more than anything.
