hi i need to update textures dynamically inside render function depending on a file read.ie each texture corresponding to each frame. At present what am doing is create texture using D3DXCreateTexture(m_pd3dDevice, 256, 256, D3DX_DEFAULT, 0,D3DFMT_A8R8G8B8, D3DPOOL_MANAGED, &m_pColorTexture ); And then for updation i directly lock the texture each time inside render and then update it.....But am not sure whether am following the best method.Kindly give me tips so that i can improve upon the frames/sec. updating textures of the type rendertarget will be more faster????
