OpenGL Fullscreen with opengl

I'm trying to make an app which can go into fullscreen mode, change modes while in fullscreen, lets say from 640x480 to 800x600 and then can go back to windowed mode as well. I am using ChangeDisplaySettings to get the valid display modes as well as set them. It works on almost every computer except a new hp laptop with an ATI x600 card. It changes into the 640x480 mode, and then every mode after that returns a (DISP_CHANGE_RESTART) meaning "must reboot for change to take effect" error code from "ChangeDisplaySettings". So, is there a solution that will work on all machines? The code I have works on most, but I can't find anyone (searching) that is having similar problems. Thanks Jeff.

I just started last night using GLUT and I found a website with LOADS of good examples for starting out. Infact, what you're wanting was in one of the examples.

While(In-game) sorta speak, changing resolution and windowed mode on/off.

Hopefully this is what you're looking for (As I said, I'm new, but it seems using GLUT I was able to do the same thing you're wanting to do, via this example).
