OK I've got two different meshes, one I made myself the other I made in Caligari Gamespace. they both render with directional light. Now I added the default effect that comes with the d3d sdk. My first mesh, the one that I made, looks super. The effect shows and all is great. The second mesh, using the same code a line or two down is like some weird void if you will. it's normaly invisible for some reason but when I pass it over a positionColored type entity it masks it. But if it passes a positionNormalTextured entity it is invisible. I've turned off backface culling and gone into Gamespace and remapped the uv's and everything appears good. Does anybody have even a wild guess on this, besides the fact that I'm clueless :) I realize that at the moment! [edit] I made an alpha texture that's almost invisible and it looks about the same as what it's doing with the normal texture and that effect. Could it somehow be setting the alpha cranked?
