Hi I'd like to install the new exporter (ver. 7) for maya 7. SDK docs say that it is installed automatically but it's not. The problem is: there are three directories in SDK with .mel, .mll and .xpm files. Which files should I put in which maya directory? Thanx in advance! SONB

Did you install the SDK after you installed Maya?

Okey, first of all the new version (December SDK) should install it for Maya 7 automaticly.

I assume that you have found a folder in "%DXSDK_DIR%\Utilities\Bin\PlugIns\Maya" called Binary7

In program files go the the shared folder (don't know what this folder is called in english version but shared something). Anyway you should there go to "Alias Shared\Modules\Maya" and see if you can find a "7.0" folder. If there isn't look in the 6.5-folder and copy the file to a new "7.0" folder. Then open the file and change the path to the path of the binary7-folder.
