[java] Can applets write to files?

I'm guessing not, something to do with security. I tried to do this once, but all it did was create the file, but it never wrote into it. All I wanted was to write into a .txt for debug info. So, if there's some other way of getting debug info in java applets, please let me know! :D [Edited by - EGD Eric on December 19, 2005 7:33:37 PM]

you have to sign the jar file containing the applet. I was having the same problem. Here is the tutorial that helped me.
