hello, one of the last DirectX SDKs (i dont remember which exactly) included a sample for fog. it was called "MFC Fog Sample". could anyone upload a zip file with the sources of this sample? its located at (SDK root)\Samples\C++\Direct3D\MFCFog would be really nice!

I remember that from the DX7 SDK quite a few years ago. I don't think it was in 9.
Check MSDN or something to see if you can find the download for version 7 as I know it's in that one.

unfortunately they dont provide the directx7 sdk for download. i also didnt found any other website which offers the dx7 sdk to download ;(
