Creating a new Visual Studio project template
Whenever I find myself creating a new project, for an engine library or a command-line tool or what have you, I always end up creating a blank project and making the same changes to it every time, as none of the templates provided by Visual Studio (.NET 2003 version) provide the settings I want.
I'm pretty sure it's possible to create a new project template and register it with VS, and in fact within the VS install directory I can find all the default templates. So I could just copy, paste and edit, but I'm wondering if there's anything more I'd have to do. Does anyone else have any experience of doing this and can give advice, tips, pitfalls and gotchas?
