OpenGL based portal example code?

Does such a thing exist? I have been searching all over the web for almost a week and cannot find anything. I am getting very discouraged. I understand what portals are and how they work, but I cannot put this knowledge into code. What I am looking for is some code where you walk around a ''circular'' hallway or simular. The game that I am designing is a simple 3D maze based on a 2D maze generation algorithm. The 2D portal algorithm would work well here. I have checked flipcode.com(this is where I learned about portals), but the tutorial just has psudo-code and barely that. I have also searched OpenGL.org and have posted a simular question on their Advanced forum with no luck. I have also checked NeHe''s site and most of the links. I have gone to many more sites, but so far the best portal info is on flipcode and again, it has no example code. TIA, Mark

You might try Delphi3D (http://www.gamedeveloper.org/delphi3d/index.shtml). There is a description of a portal renderer under "3D Engine Dev" and code for the engine under "Projects".

Hi all

For Mr Game Maker Try http://www.tasteofhoney.freeserve.co.uk/ just checked it works!

Dude there was also a portal program on Nehe''s news page a week or so ago but the zip on the persons site was not on the end of the link (insert sad face), must try the site again.

Hope that helps, let us all know how you get along with the portal progy.

Thanks! I bookmarked the Direct3D site. The code will give me a start, but I need to convert it to C. < Sigh > It has been a long time since I've delt with Pascal. < Double Sigh > I cannot believe that people still use Pascal! Oh well....

Dude, i don''t think people use Pascal as in TP4.0...
Wasn''t that code you had to port Delphi code?
I use delphi for all my apps. Fast as hell.
