which do you pick: Ogre 3D or Crystal Space? (not necessarily overall # of features, but quality) (and assuming an adequate level of programming and programming language experience to thoroughly use each)

Well, tell you what. I couldn't get a working build of Crystal Space last time I tried, let alone writing anything on top of it. And Ogre is a much newer and better designed engine. Plenty of problems, but I'll take it over all of the other alternatives (Irrlicht, etc) any day.

Wow. Well, I posted that before I really got a good look at Ogre 3D. It seems a far superior choice, at least for my purposes. Crystal Space is hard to work with! Compiling it was a pain. Ogre 3D has everything I need and is a solid performer.
