Looking for high performance timer libraries in FreeBSD. Also looking for a more basic discussion of the issues. Any help/link(s) is appreciated!

Do you need more accuracy than microsecond accuracy? If not look at man gettimeofday... also, clock_gettime() should have nanosecond accuracy, check the accuracy in clock_getres()
