Greetings all - I'm a film composer based in the NYC area with much experience composing for film, tv, and indie directors (credits include HBO and ESPN.) I've been an avid gamer my entire life, and I'd like to expand my business to include composing for video games. I've created a special page on my website with music samples I feel are particularly appropriate for video games: http://www.gregnicolett.com/VideoGamesFrame.htm You'll hear professionally produced recordings in a variety of genres, including orchestral, ambient, and techno. You can expect rates below industry standards as I build my resume in the video game world. Please email me at twosouls@gregnicolett.com if you have further questions or would like to talk about a project. Thanks for listening to my music. Yeah, I'm a Sonar Stalwart...though I just gave in and bought a ProTools LE system to improve interfacing with big studios.

So do you have samples of your own on line? And what photo are you talking about?

Been using Cakewalk for at least ten years now myself. I accidentally got ProTools certified but I don't own a rig myself. But it IS in every studio so it's kinda important, I agree.

I was talking about the picture on your bio/clients page. Sorry, I'm a big fan of the contemplative bio head shot.

Yeah...my stuff is available at the website in my sig. But this is your thread so I'll leave it at that.

We all fall into our respective cliques, whether we like to or not, and my former clique (academic classical composers) happen to use a lot of pretentious and thoughtful head shots. At least I'm not sitting at a piano with my head in my hands ( : Still, your point is well taken.

Mostly I put images of myself up there to emphasize the fact that I'm a person and not a company. Unless you're a member of a production hosue, most music/audio "companies" ARE one person anyway.

Totally agree! I'm tired of going to composers websites and there's a whole lot of "we" and "us" and "our company" and "we here at Snapshot Audio..." kind of stuff. It's oftem very apparent it's a one man gig and I don't see anything wrong with that.

Anyway, I sincerely like your stuff and hope you get attached to a worthwhile project. Though this banter is keeping your post at the top for now! Hee Hee!

You might correct the spelling of "Midieval" to "Medieval" on your page.... I didn't have time to wait for your samples to load (slow internet), but good luck anyway!
