I need CVS to get at some code on a internet CVS setup. I went to cvs.com but in the section for the Windows binary it showed no files. Can somebody tell me where I might find this installer?

Well google turned up cvs.com which had these empty folders... but those above look great.
Does Tortoise allow me to use the commandline as well, since I have to do some complexish things like access a repository on the net?

Actually I used TortoiseSVN a while back and hated it. Plus any visual system is going to screw my Perforce system I use for my own source control, so I'll stick with command-line for now!

I haven't use Tortoise's, but took a look at the log, it seems to have support for command line:

Changes for 1.3.4 (01 Mar 2003):
Different command line parameter syntax for TortoiseAct to be able
to handle arbitrary parameters. (Hartmut)

Changes for 1.1.3 (20 September 2002):
Reduced max command line length to 4096 for NT platforms. (Torsten)

TortoiseTip feature added. Only one tip so far. Basically
this adds text to help explain obscure or out of context CVS
command line messages in the progress dialog (Francis)
