I remember an email being posted for asking questions Directly to the DirectX Developer team. Can any one give me this email address?
You could use some of the following addresses appropriately.
directx@microsoft.com : Microsoft DirectX in general questions.
dxsdkdoc@microsoft.com : Microsoft DirectX SDK Documentation questions.

In my experience those email addresses are more for bug reports, feature requests and opinions. I've never got a reply for anything I have sent.
