I found that Eclipse with the PHPeclipse plugin works well.

I can seem to get Intellisense / Auto-Complete to pop up on internal PHP functions if I press Ctrl+Space, but I can't get it on my own classes and functions. Am I missing something in the options? I'd also like it to be automatic instead of manual.

PHP Designer 2006 is great.

Although this software is rather nice, I can't for the life of me get Intellisense / Auto-Complete.

It should be noted that I do not have a local PHP install, if this software requires it.

VS.Php is indeed very cool--it has real, full intellisense. But it's $100.

I've actually started using PHP Designer 2006, which is very slick, but it has no real intellisense, and I had to write my own FTP updater.

Try Ctrl+Space, like Visual Studio. You must be in a PHP/HTML document for it to work, though.

As for a local install of PHP; no, it does not require it.
