I've read tons of lessons of Direct3D. I understand how matrices works and what actually is a matrix but all the lessons make simple 3D fugure like cube or pyramid they (authors of the tutorial) are using DrawPrimitive Function with parameters for drawing Triangle List. Maximum number of primitives is near 1500 for my computer (it depends on the device). If I need to draw figure with more that 1500 primitives what I should do ? The MaxPrimitiveCount in D3D in a per-call maximum. If you need to draw more than that, you'll have to make multiple DrawPrimitive() calls (e.g., first draw the first 1500, then the remaining 500 primitives of a 2000-triangle mesh).

Typically meshes are divided into subsets for batching purposes anyhow.

1500 primitives is an extremely small number. Are you sure it is correct? What kind of graphics card do you have? The max for my ATI Radeon 9800 Pro is over 1 million.

Either way, jpetrie has the answer.
