What is the most common way to determine how fast CPU/GPU a system has? I''m trying to make my 3D engine NOT to start if the system is too slow. I was thinking one way would be to perform some basic arithmetic''s and time it..? Anybody knows how to do this? (Basiclly i''m not going to include a "Lo-Res" option...)

I don''t think that this is the way to do it...

I''d do it this way: Tell the minimum requirements, with which it runs smooth.. then let the user risk it ;o)
