Batch files are just files that run commands on the Dos prompt, such as excecuting programs, or copy, deleting, or loading drivers. They were can also be used to set parameters and paths, such as for a command line compiler. Simply put they are just macros and everything in then could be typed in from the Dos prompt but batch files saved the work. They are obsolete now, since everything is now done from from within windows with registry and ini files. Though if you may still have an autoexec.bat file. Hope u understand now.....
