Greetings, I just recently decided to study raknet, and I found the section of the docs explaining the Distributed Network Objects feature, found here: Docs It mentioned that it is unable to work with timestamping, which I need for extrapolating the players' positions. I was thinking then, would it be a good idea to synchronize the rest of the player data, but require the position to be sent in an auxillary packet? So, since my players are in space ships, I could have the health, and ammo be synchronized, and then take care of the position data myself (with dead reckoning, etc). Has anybody else had this issue? Thanks

I've found the distributed objects are mostly useful just for high-level game-state items that don't need any fine-grained control. For instance, I use the distributed object model to keep everyone updated with a current frag count, ping, etc. For the players, I definitely pack the data myself.
