beginners question on transformation [solved]

i simply want an flat rectangle ( koos from 0.0f to 1.0f ) (area of x- and y-axis) to rotate around its own middle ... 8[ [ 0.0, 0.0, 0.0 1.0, 0.0, 0.0 1.0, 1.0, 0.0 0.0, 1.0, 0.0 ] = rect middle would be [0.5, 0.5, 0.0] i tried a lot out ... but well ... im relativly new to this and after rotation i want to view it ... ( camera is fixed on [0.0, 0.0, 0.0] look at [0.0, 0.0, 1.0] up[ 0.0, 1.0, 0.0] ) [Edited by - ronnybrendel on January 19, 2006 6:16:39 AM]

Nehe is a good place when you're starting with opengl. Check lesson 4 as it does pretty much what you're asking for.

but i tried to translate the rect by -0.5, -0.5, 0.0 to get 0.0, 0.0, 0.0 into the middle ...

then i rotate ... and its still rotating by his own 0.0-borders ... not the middle as supposed
